Orphanage Support
Program Overview
We partner with orphanages by sponsoring events and provision of food, clothing, and other basic essentials to the children in their care. The innocent children in orphanage care have already have trauma of losing their parents or neglect, they deserve care and basic education.
Orphans are typically cared for by relatives who absorb nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren into their already burdened households. Many of the surviving relatives are elderly grandparents or aunts and uncles. These guardians are burdened due to poverty and this situation puts a huge strain on families, fracturing them in the process.
Due to the challenges on these extended families’ children end up in the streets and the lucky ones in orphanages. They do not have an opportunity to go to school, much less receive the type of education that would enable them to become productive members in a technologically evolving society.
The LEAP OF FAITH TRUST works hand in hand with orphanages to trace family members of orphaned children to reunite them with a pledge of committing to their upkeep relating to basic necessities and tuition scholarship as part of our TARIRO/HOPE project. We are trying to make a difference in their lives starting with the basics. Any donation towards these children is a blessing and the kids express their gratitude.
